FAQs

BDA’s abbreviation?

BDA stands for Business Development Advisory.

Why BDA, and not someone else?

Many consultants view clients as deals to be won and contracts as finish lines. BDA believes just the opposite. Working side by side with your company, we’ll be a true partner from beginning to end—providing personalized services that are both transparent and transformative. We love making clients happy and establishing long-term trust-based relationships.

What region do you operate in?

BDA operates out of Hong Kong, but we do not limit our services to the Hong Kong market only. Reach out to us and let’s evaluate if it makes sense to work together.

Are you open to other industries besides technology?

Absolutely! BDA is committed to guiding growth for companies across industries and around the world. While we specialize in the Information and Technology industry, our services are transferable to many different sectors. For example, in Hong Kong, we organically started to work successfully with the Hospitality Industry.

Are your services limited to those outlined on the website?

Not at all. We’re happy to help with additional services as long as they align with our areas of expertise. If your requested services can’t be fulfilled successfully, we’ll let you know upfront—so it can’t hurt to ask.

How can I be sure of receiving project deliverables on time?

We’ll agree upon deadlines during the contract negotiation phase—and always stick to our word. As a committed partner, BDA will never take on new clients if that means compromising an existing deadline.

Will you charge an hourly rate or a flat fee?

We work with both models, and prices will be set in accordance with the specific deliverables outlined in your contract and your preference.

How will I know that my company information is handled confidentially?

During the onboarding process, clients sign a mutual NDA to protect intellectual property.

Can we engage remotely?

Yes, absolutely! As long as we have regular access to your sales team and relevant company information, we need to do our jobs right.

Do you ever work with subcontractors?

When warranted, we’re happy to loop in local subcontractors (for instance, we have a preferred marketing and branding agency). However, no confidential information is ever shared with these parties.

How long is an average partnership with BDA?

It depends on the needs and whether we work on a fixed project or a retainer fee. Typically a fixed project lasts around 2 months from beginning to end and a retainer project would last on average 10 months.
